SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION SHEETS

How to search for information sheets on The Rehab Lab


The Rehab Lab has client information sheets ready for you to select and customise. These information sheets can be added to your programmes with the aim of educating your clients about their current pathology. You can easily search and select these information sheets, then modify them to suit the individual needs of your clients (all titles and text is completely editable).

To find an information sheet, first log in to The Rehab Lab by clicking here and entering your username and password at the login screen. Once you have logged in, you will see The Rehab Lab 'exercise search screen' (the main screen). To search for information sheets, follow these steps:


1. Go to the information sheet search screen

At the top of the screen are The Rehab Lab's three main buttons (EXERCISE SEARCH, INFO SHEET SEARCH and PROGRAMME SEARCH). Click the INFO SHEET SEARCH button. This will display the INFO SHEET SEARCH screen.

2. Select a database to search

The first search option you will see are the SELECT DATABASE boxes. THE REHAB LAB database is selected by default (note the icon is illuminated orange). This means that your search results will display only those information sheets contained within The Rehab Lab information sheet database.

To also search for custom information sheets that you have added to your custom database, click the MY CUSTOM INFO SHEETS search option (when selected, the icon will be illuminated orange.

If you only want to search for custom information sheets you have added to your custom database (and exclude The Rehab Lab information sheets), deselect THE REHAB LAB search option (when deselected, the icon will no longer be illuminated) and select the MY CUSTOM INFO SHEETS search option.

3. ENTER AN INFORMATION SHEET TITLE TO SEARCH

You now have the option of entering an information sheet title to search. This will refine your search to only those information sheets that contain the word you have entered in the text area. This is optional, you may find it quicker to simply click the SEARCH button and scroll through the results.

NB: The Rehab Lab recommends that you restrict the number of words you enter in the title search input area to one (e.g. whiplash, or taping).

4. SEARCH THE INFORMATION SHEETS

Now click the SEARCH button (or simply click enter on your keyboard).

The information sheets that match your search criteria will now be displayed in the table below the search options.

Now that you have found the information sheet you are searching for, you can:


A. PREVIEW THE INFORMATION SHEET

To preview an information sheet, click the PREVIEW INFORMATION SHEET button (this is the 'magnifying glass' icon). This will open the PREVIEW INFO SHEET window which will display a thumbnail image of the accompanying illustration and the four blocks of text (the introduction, the second and third blocks of text and the conclusion, or final block of text) that surround the central illustration.

B. ADD THE INFORMATION SHEET TO YOUR PROGRAMME

To add an information sheet to your programme, click the ADD INFORMATION SHEET button (or simply click-and-drag the information sheet into the programme contents column at the right of the screen). After clicking the ADD INFORMATION SHEET button, the information sheet will now appear in the programme contents column to the right of the screen. Once the information sheet appears in the programme contents column, you can begin editing it to suit your preferences (to learn how to edit information sheets you have added to the programme contents column, click here).
